Based in Brooklyn, NY - Ravena is the creator and ceramic artist behind ByRae Studio, where functional objects are reimagined as sculptural statements. Her sculptural homeware is inspired by the English-Caribbean tradition of “whatnots”—ornate shelving displays filled with figurines and decorative objects. As an interior design enthusiast, Ravena blends emotion, funk, and high vibration into each uniquely handmade form. Reimagining the Ordinary
Personal note from the designer: Through creating sculptures in my practice, I realized the need for raw functional aesthetic homeware - not the mass made stuff. I began modifying my sculptural practice to design cool and decorative ashtrays for close friends - then ByRae Studio was born. Our first collection - The Firepit Ashtray - is dope, sophisticated and has bold personality. I'm delighted to share this art with you.
